Reading Aloud by Edgewater 1

We have been practicing reading aloud. We have been reading from books and our own stories. We using Explain Everything on our iPads to record our reading. We listen to our recording and decide where we can improve. We choose our best recording to share on our blog.

Open this link to see all our recording and pictures we have created.

Our veggie patch by Anchorage Park Room 1

This week we went to our veggie patch with room 2 to plant some carrots, brussel sprouts and cauliflower. First we dug a trench for the carrot seeds. The seeds were in a paper ribbon so we put it in the trench and then covered them up. Next some people dug holes for the brussel sprouts and cauliflower plants and put them in and covered the bottom of them. At the end we put a bird net over our veggie patch so the birds don't eat our seeds or delicious vegetables.

Turning Pink by Tamaki 3

We decided to have a PINK DAY    to raise money for Breast cancer research. The money will go to clever doctors to find a way to fix this cancer.
We wrote notices and put them in the diary of every student at  Tamaki.
We asked the grown ups to wear pink too and they decided to have a pink morning tea as well. The idea spread and the Sommerville base school staff turned pink as well.

It turned out to be a great day. Jump jam looked amazing.

We went round the school and collected the money. Even the people in our office looked pink.

This is the Sommerville staff room.

This is the Tamaki campus staff room.

We will let you know how much money we raised when we have counted it all. There is still more to add to this pile.
